Create a logo, website and overall branding for a brand new family friendly one day festival in Falkirk. The name had already been decided upon – Vibration Festival.
The look and feel was to evoke fun, music and festival vibes that would appeal across a wide spectrum of people.
The website needed to showcase the artists as well as be a hub of information for the festival. An ongoing blog was required, as well as social media graphics.
It’s not often you get to brand, design and develop a music festival that is actually going to be putting on bands that thousands of people will have heard of. Andy and David had a clear vision of what they wanted so we first tackled the concept together and the design flowed from there.
The meaning of Vibration was definitely to be sound waves and it was just a case of coming up with a concept for the logo. After a few developments, the dotted wave forms were decided and the colours were inspired by summer sunsets (it was mid summer and the days were glorious).
The overall branding was simple to design as it mainly had to evoke a feeling of summer and music. We are big music fans here at Unavoided, with our favourite playlists on from the start of the the work day to the end and we always have a ‘gig’ coming up. It was a dream come true to design the branding.
The branding leads into the social media graphics, which you can see here. They just add a little something extra to the whole process of promoting and putting on a festival.
