We were chuffed to bits to be invited to help contribute to the Proud Scotland Awards 2020, which was broadcast under strict Covid 19 conditions in Central Scotland. Because of the lockdown restrictions none of the winners could physically attend the event. So location videos of them accepting their awards were of course needed!
Filming was at various locations throughout Central Scotland. It was great fun, but everything was on a tight schedule, with multiple shoots on each day’s filming, sometimes transversing repeatedly back and forward across the cities between shots. The variety of locations, indoor, outdoor, sunny, rainy, noisy, and echoey, all posed their unique challenges, but we were ulimately very ‘proud’ of the results.
The event, hosted by Gok Wan was quite a buzz in itself, as we were helping with fly on the wall background filming during the show, while the guys at MM Sound And Lighting handled the enormous task of filming and producing the actual live broadcast. It has been such an honour to be involved with the event. Looking forward to the 2021 show!
