Velvet Easel Gallery

Taking a leap of faith is what Rosalind Walker did when she decided to go for a complete career change and bought a small gallery in Portobello, Edinburgh. She named it The Velvet Easel Gallery and set about changing the perception that art galleries sometimes have of being rather unapproachable.

We were tasked with creating the logo and the website. After a meeting with Rosalind, we quickly gained an understanding of what she was looking for and were able to envisage the look of the planned website there and then. The initial sketch for the logo is almost exactly the same as the finished article!

The logo (and the website) needed to reflect the ease and comfort which Rosalind wanted to create within her gallery alongside matching the eclectic style and range of art work she aimed to exhibit…she was extremely happy with the outcome!
